According to the new research mentioned above, the Colorado School of Medicine connected the loss of blood flow to the brain to Meniere’s and similar conditions, like migraines and sleep apnea. They feel that by treating these vascular diseases, Meniere’s disease may be able to be helped. If tissues in the body do not get the proper blood supply, they begin to send improper signals to the brain. This is what leads to the symptoms of Meniere’s disease.
Can Upper Cervical Chiropractic Help Meniere’s Sufferers?
We are happy to answer in the affirmative to that question. We have seen a number of patients have a successful outcome after they have received care from us. We understand how important it is to have proper blood flow to and from the brain. One thing we have seen that compromises this is a misalignment in the upper neck vertebrae. The top two bones, the atlas and axis bones, can cause a person to experience neurological dysfunction and a decrease in blood flow if they are misaligned.
We use a gentle procedure that effectively realigns the vertebrae. Normal blood flow is restored, and the body begins to heal itself. Patients have reported benefits after only a few adjustments.
